My Story
The books published under Brillora Storyhouse, including Grammy Say, Love Letters from GOD, and 50 Names & 50 States, are more than stories, they are my inheritance to my children and grandchildren. Inspired by Proverbs 13:22, “A good person leaves an inheritance to their children’s children,” I knew that love, wisdom, and the lessons of life are treasures far greater than anything material. Material things alone cannot express the depth of love I have or the values I hope to pass on. So, I began a journey, a pilgrimage, to create a legacy filled with light, love, courage, and wonder. These stories are my gift: a living inheritance of hope, faith, and imagination, designed to inspire children to be brave, kind, and curious. Through Grammy’s Legacy, I want every child to feel loved, guided, and empowered, just as I hope my own children and grandchildren feel every day.
Life takes us on many paths, some smooth and some challenging. This website, and the timeless lessons we share, will remind children and adults alike that courage, initiative, and hope are gifts we can pass from one generation to the next.

V. Veronica Owens is a passionate educator, visionary storyteller, and first-time author whose voice is lighting up the world of children’s literature. With a rich background in Early Childhood Education and the experience of homeschooling her own grandchildren, Veronica has poured both her professional expertise and her heart into her debut book, Grammy Say: Junkanoo Book of Idioms, crafted especially for children ages 3–8.
