The books published under Brillora Storyhouse, including Grammy Say, Love Letters from GOD, and 50 Names & 50 States, are more than stories. They are my inheritance to my children and grandchildren. Inspired by Proverbs 13:22, “A good person leaves an inheritance to their children’s children,” I came to understand that love, wisdom, and life’s lessons are treasures far greater than anything material. Material things alone cannot express the depth of love I feel or the values I hope to pass on.

So, I began a journey, a pilgrimage of the heart, to create a legacy rooted in light, love, courage, and wonder. These stories are my gift: a living inheritance of hope, faith, and imagination, created to help children grow brave, kind, curious, and confident in who they are. Through Grammy’s Legacy, my hope is that every child feels deeply loved, gently guided, and beautifully empowered just as I wish for my own grandchildren every single day.

Life leads us down many paths, some joyful and some challenging. Along the way, the timeless lessons shared here remind both children and adults that courage, initiative, and hope are gifts meant to be passed from one generation to the next. Come with us on this living journey of love, light, and guidance. Children will discover values that shape strong character, while parents and caregivers will find encouragement, wisdom, and practical support for nurturing young hearts. Join us on this path. Become part of a growing community of families, caregivers, and educators who are intentionally building a legacy of faith, courage, and love for the next generation.

Beat By Beat

“Beat by Beat” was written to encourage children to recognize and develop the gifts placed within them by God at creation. The story affirms that every child carries purpose, ability, and potential, and that growth does not happen all at once, but through a process, one step, one lesson, and one try at a time. Through Roody’s journey, young readers learn that development often includes mistakes, pauses, and repeated attempts.

Mastery is rarely immediate. Each phase of growth requires patience, practice, and perseverance. When a child does not succeed the first time, it is not failure, it is part of learning. With consistent effort, encouragement, and community support, understanding deepens and skill strengthens.

This story reinforces the truth that progress is built through faithful practice. As children continue to try, even when it feels difficult, they gain confidence, discipline, and proficiency for the next stage of life. Practice Makes Perfect becomes more than an idiom, it becomes a life principle: greatness is formed beat by beat, and potential is fulfilled through perseverance.
